Fireworks, gardens, art studios and more gardens

I have been enjoying all the Taranaki events on offer this week. Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow for the public Fireworks Display on the foreshore. Check out more details on the Facebook page here. It’ll be great if this gets a lot of public support as it was largely privately funded and it would be a shame to lose it.

On Monday  I went and checked out a few art studios in Oakura who are part of the Oakura Arts Trail. The studios involved with this are open again this weekend. With Christmas just round the corner I’ve put some paintings on my Christmas want list! See their website for details.

I also went and looked at a few gardens in the Fringe Garden Festival. I came away with lots of ideas and inspiration for my own garden. This runs alongside the main Garden Festival and you can get more info here.

If you’re in town make sure you pop in and check out the Falling Garden installation at the TSB Showplace which is part of the Powerco Taranaki Garden Spectacular. It is extremely beautiful but I haven’t mastered the selfie yet to go in to the selfie competition.

What has been your favourite Taranaki event lately?
