C7 is a member of the Sustainable Business Network and has taken on the Get Sustainable Challenge 2008.
Sustainability is so much more than a buzz-word or a trendy thing to do. It is about ensuring that everything we do is backed by careful consideration into how it will affect our community, our environment and our future.
We certainly don't claim to "be there", but at C7 we are making every effort to build a sustainable business.
What we've discovered is that sustainability is not so much a destination as it is a journey. And like so much in life, the road to sustainability is a journey of small steps. So we're taking small steps: from recycling our waste and switching off our computers every night, to choosing papers that are environmentally friendly.
And that's not all folks! We have realised that this is a journey best undertaken with like-minded people; so we have joined the Sustainable Business Network and are actively engaging with people that are also on the sustainable journey.
C7 was awarded a Judges Commendation for Environmental & Sustainable Awareness at the 2009 Westpac Taranaki Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. This follows the Judges Commendation received at the regional Sustainable Business Awards in 2008. So we seem to be doing something right...
